Digitizing Zone — an embroidery digitizing company

Our core discipline

Custom embroidery digitizing, punched by hand.

Your artwork mapped stitch by stitch in Wilcom and Tajima — underlay, angles, densities and needle path decided by a digitizer who runs that fabric every day. Never auto-converted.

What the craft actually is

Four decisions software cannot make for you.

Underlay chosen per garment

Fleece needs a different foundation to piqué. The base layer is picked for the fabric so the top stitching sits on it rather than sinking in.

Pull compensation edge by edge

Every column is widened or narrowed for the direction it stitches, which is why outlines still register once the hoop tension releases.

Sequenced for one clean run

Colour changes and trims are ordered so your operator is not stopping to clip jumps halfway through a run.

Lowest workable stitch count

Fewer stitches means less thread, less machine time and a lower price — without thinning the design out.

Proof, not promises

Slide between the artwork and the actual sew-out.

Same file, two states. Left is the flat artwork we start from. Right is the stitch file running on the machine — no clean-up, no retouching.

The difference you feel at the machine

Auto-converted files look fine on screen.
Then you run them.

Software auto-convert

30 seconds
  • Density guessed by software — thread snaps mid-run
  • No underlay, so the design sinks into the fabric
  • Registration drifts; outlines land off the fill
  • Hundreds of jump stitches left to trim by hand
  • Stitch count inflated — you pay for the waste
What we deliver

Hand-punched by a digitizer

12–24 hours
  • Density and stitch angle routed for the exact fabric
  • Purpose-built underlay locks the design on top
  • Pull compensation applied edge by edge
  • Jumps trimmed and paths sequenced for one clean run
  • Lowest workable stitch count — cheaper to run

How it works

Four steps between your logo and the needle.

One digitizer owns your file from the moment it lands to the moment it ships. No queue, no handoffs, no software shortcuts.

  1. 01 Any file, any quality

    Send the artwork

JPG, PNG, PDF, AI, EPS — or a photo of a hand-drawn sketch. Tell us the finished size, the fabric and the machine format you need.

  2. 02 100% manual

    A digitizer punches it

A human maps every stitch: underlay, angles, densities, pull compensation and the sequence the needle will travel.

  3. 03 Second pair of eyes

    Quality check on the floor

Stitch count, underlay, density, stitch direction and registration are reviewed against the original artwork before anything is released.

  4. 04 Rush available same day

    Machine-ready in your inbox

Delivered in your preferred format inside 12–24 hours, with a stitch simulation so you know exactly what the machine will do.

Questions

Everything shops ask before the first file.

Still not answered? The studio is staffed around the clock — ask and a digitizer replies.

Talk to a digitizer
What exactly is embroidery digitizing?

It is the process of converting your artwork into a stitch file an embroidery machine can read. A digitizer decides every stitch type, angle, density, underlay and the order the needle travels — it is not a file conversion, it is a craft.

How much will my design cost?

Embroidery digitizing is $3.00 per 1,000 stitches with a $15 minimum. Vector art is $10.00 per hour. Common jobs are available flat: $30 for a left-chest or cap logo, $80 for a jacket back. Send the artwork and you get an exact price before any work starts.

How fast do I get the file?

Standard turnaround is 12–24 hours. Same-day rush is available and we do not charge a surcharge for it. The studio runs 24/7 across the USA, UK and Pakistan, so files move while you sleep.

Which formats do you deliver?

Every commercial machine format — DST, PES, EXP, JEF, VP3, HUS, XXX, EMB, PXF, TBF, SEW, CSD, ART and more. Vector work is delivered as AI, EPS, SVG, PDF or CDR. Ask for several at once; there is no extra charge.

What if the sew-out is not right?

You get free unlimited revisions. Send us a photo of the sew-out and we re-punch the problem area until it runs clean. A job is only finished when it works on your machine, not when it looks right on ours.

Do you use auto-digitizing software?

Never. Every file is punched manually by a digitizer in Wilcom, Tajima DG16, Wings XP, APS Ethos or DesignShop. Auto-converted files run thin, drift out of registration and break thread — that is the whole reason customers come to us.

Who owns the finished file?

You do, outright. We also keep a lifetime encrypted backup so you can re-download any design you have ever ordered from your client portal, years later, at no cost.

How do I pay?

Securely by card through the client portal once your quote is approved. There are no setup fees, no hidden charges and no minimum monthly volume. High-volume shops can request partner terms.
